Terms of Service
Last updated: July 31, 2026
These Terms govern your access to LabCraft, an interactive learning platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms are between you and LabCraft, Inc., a Delaware corporation that operates LabCraft. If you have questions about these Terms, contact legal@labcraft.dev.
Service availability
LabCraft is an evolving service. It may change, include unfinished courses or features, have capacity limits, or be unavailable while we repair, upgrade, or protect the platform. Access may be limited by region or invitation cohort. We may add, remove, pause, or change features.
We try to preserve learner progress, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent availability. We may reset lab environments or limit usage when needed for reliability, security, cost control, abuse prevention, or maintenance.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account and for keeping access to your sign-in provider or email inbox secure.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current. We may refuse, pause, or terminate access if we believe an account is abusive, unsafe, fraudulent, unlawful, or otherwise harmful to LabCraft or other users.
Acceptable use
LabCraft gives you real Linux environments for learning. Use them for the course work and adjacent experiments that the lessons reasonably invite. Do not use LabCraft to attack, scan, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system; mine cryptocurrency; send spam; host public services; evade security controls; store or process sensitive third-party data; or run workloads unrelated to learning.
Do not attempt to escape the lab environment, bypass usage limits, interfere with other users, reverse engineer private platform infrastructure, or use the service in a way that violates law or the rights of others. We may monitor, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate sessions and accounts to enforce this section.
Labs and AI mentor
Labs are temporary learning environments and may be reset. You are responsible for the commands and content you place inside them.
Lab activity is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. The AI mentor uses automated models to generate some guidance; other hints are written into the course. Mentor output may be wrong, incomplete, or unavailable and is not professional advice.
Content and intellectual property
LabCraft and its course content, software, designs, and other materials belong to LabCraft or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning subject to these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of LabCraft content or code.
You keep any ownership rights you have in content you submit to or create through LabCraft, including messages, feedback, prompts, commands, files, lab work, and other materials (“User Content”). You must have the rights needed to submit User Content and grant the license below.
You grant LabCraft a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to access, host, store, reproduce, use, modify, adapt, analyze, and otherwise process User Content to operate, provide, secure, monitor, support, maintain, develop, and improve LabCraft and its courses and services; create aggregate or de-identified derivatives; enforce these Terms; and comply with law.
LabCraft may retain and use for any lawful business purpose aggregate or de-identified derivatives that cannot reasonably be linked to you. You also allow us to use feedback and suggestions without restriction or compensation. The rights in those derivatives and in feedback already incorporated into LabCraft are perpetual, irrevocable, and survive account deletion or termination. This does not limit your privacy rights or permit us to retain personal data contrary to the Privacy Policy or applicable law.
Third-party services
Parts of LabCraft rely on third-party services. Their terms and privacy policies may apply when you choose or use them.
Disclaimers
LabCraft is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
LabCraft teaches systems concepts, but it is not professional, employment, certification, security, legal, financial, or operational advice. You are responsible for how you apply anything you learn.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LabCraft is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or relating to your access to, use of, or inability to use the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, LabCraft’s total aggregate liability is limited to 1 USD. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using LabCraft and cancel this agreement at any time, without a fee. You may request deletion of your account or personal data by contacting legal@labcraft.dev. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the platform or other users, or use the service in a way we reasonably believe is abusive, unlawful, or unsafe.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or waives a warranty, remedy, consumer protection, or other right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or waive. The disclaimers and liability limits above apply only to the extent permitted by that law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have jurisdiction over disputes that are not resolved informally, unless applicable law gives you mandatory protections or requires a different law or forum.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as LabCraft evolves. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes when practical. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using LabCraft and request account deletion before they take effect.
